A Little About Whoodles:
Whoodles are a hybrid of a Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier and a Poodle. They have wonderful happy go lucky personalities that can't help but put a smile on your face!! A wondeful bonus with this breed is that they are non-shedding and great for people with allergies!!
The Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier is an alert and happy animal - graceful, strong and well-coordinated, a playful and friendly terrier. They make great watchdogs and will bark at the arrival of a guest. They are loving with children and get along well with other dogs (provided they are socialized when they are young). They have a puppy attitude that remains with them throughout their life. They are sweet-tempered, easy-going, and self-confident. A Wheaten Terrier is very intelligent, so they will generally grasp quickly what is required of them. Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers bond extremely closely with their family. They seldom bark unnecessarily.
The Standard Poodle is proud, elegant, dignified and good-natured. These dogs are highly intelligent and one of the most trainable breeds. They are pleasant, happy and sensitive. The Standard Poodle tends to be a bit calmer than the smaller variety of Poodles. They need to be with people and dislike being alone. They are generally friendly toward strangers, and are excellent with children. The Standard Poodle is good with other dogs. They are dogs that are always eager to please And they are a very loyal and loving pet.
Whoodles inherit qualities from both breeds. In some cases they may be born one color and change color as they get older. They get this from the Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier which is also born a brown color and develop into the beautiful wheaten color as adults. Whoodles are estimated to weigh between 40-55 lbs. With males being on the heavier side. They are a very loving and affectionate breed of dog that loves to be close to their families.
